This Privacy Policy explains how Kartikey Sondhi, an individual operating Usovo from India ("Usovo," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data, in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
1. Data We Collect

We do not collect: your card details (PayPal holds these directly), the content you type or generate, or your in-app display name — that stays only in local storage on your device and is never sent to our servers.
2. Why We Collect It
We use this data solely to: provide and operate the Service; process payments and manage subscriptions; enforce plan limits; respond to support and grievance requests; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Third Parties We Share Data With
- PayPal (paypal.com) — our payment processor. PayPal receives your billing and payment information directly and processes it under its own Privacy Policy. PayPal is not our Merchant of Record — Usovo remains the seller of record for your purchase.
- Supabase — our account authentication and database infrastructure provider, which hosts the data described above.
We do not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. If this changes, we will update this policy before doing so.
4. Where Your Data Is Processed
Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, PayPal) may process and store data on servers located outside India. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, which is handled by providers with their own data protection commitments.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, subscription record, device records, and usage counters are permanently deleted immediately. PayPal independently retains transaction records as required for its own compliance obligations, even after your Usovo account is deleted.
6. Your Rights
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct or update inaccurate data;
- Erase your data — self-serve via Account → Subscription → Delete account, which immediately deletes your account and all associated data;
- Withdraw consent at any time (which may limit your ability to use paid features);
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity;
- Grievance redressal — contact our Grievance Officer below with any complaint.
7. Security
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Account and billing tables are protected by database-level access policies (Row Level Security) so each user can only read their own data. Locally, sensitive values (such as your device identifier and cached session) are encrypted at rest using your operating system's secure storage.
8. Children's Privacy
Usovo is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect data from, individuals under 18 years of age.
